Rings are horrible - redo
I expected loads of interest and teamwork with this glorious open source local universe -

But for beginners, here’s where you learn 3D math - by working example - the only way.
Want 3D? Here’s a giant leap forward with all the prebuilt functions - peace and success to u.
I dont suppose anyone knows where there’s a view3ds example in opengl?
I had one. Today, an hour’s search effort found nothing in opengl. The world is lame lame lame. lol

VBulletin is pretty decent for forum posting and management. But I would agree that its built-in search capability leaves something to be desired. Which is why I never use it, but instead…
Use a web search engine to search the opengl.org site. For instance:
apparently need Assimp and Blender, and perhaps starting with loading .obj files
also I found this : http://www.open3mod.com/
zip file was not enough, required more libraries.
I ran the setup and now have a model viewer - loaded SB42.obj
dont be happy with what you got. heh
everyday for 3 months there’s been a better file available, stuff that should have been done right the first time.
can only do so much. tomorrow will be about the same, til it’s not.
check file mod-dates

wouldn’t be that hard if my old puter was setup.
need opengl effects guru. come on people, lets do cool stuff.
so much to learn, so little time.
In a real world, there’d be this web site,
with every example routine ever devised and run, free for all.
promoting an explosion of creativity - the real stuff.
If only the world weren’t disappointingly self-centered.
Mesh Viewer supports the following 3D file formats:

here’s what i could salvage, apparently from China- NO they couldn’t leave the original file alone !!! and leave a download link !!!
they turned it into html – I had to paste each file and save… man they must ave nothing better to do. http://www.pudn.com/Download/item/id/332102.html
