Hello!
I’ve recently started coding with OpenGL to make a 3d graphics program in Java. I’ve found that many of the features I need to access, can only be accessed in OpenGL versions 3.3 and higher. I checked what version I had: I have 2.1. So, I go looking for a way to update the version, and since I’m a OSX User - I just need to simply update my OSX version. My first thought was: “Awesome! How easy! :D”
So I updated from 10.8.5, to Mavericks(10.9.4), and checked my version again: Still 2.1
My graphics card details:
AMD Radeon HD 6750M, 512 MB.
I’ve checked on the AMD website, and my card supports OpenGL perfectly fine - but yet I still cannot update the version. Is this a hardware problem, or do I actually have to download a driver from AMD to update OpenGL?
Any help to set me in the right direction is greatly appreciated!
Thank you
