can anyone tell me how to load a 3ds file with jpeg texture in a OpenGL proagram?

You have three options at least:
- Read it as a usual 3ds file.
- Check google for free source code.
- See wotsit.org for 3ds file description.
(and you may use libjpg for the jpeg files…)
Find docs about the 3ds hierachy and chunks file. Have a look at Clax at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Bay/6525/
For Jpeg, use the libjpeg.
