Whats the best FREE 3D game engine out there
that come closest to the quake 3 engine and will work well with Opengl? Whats the best combination i was looking at renderware at www.renderware.com Please your input is needed here.

There is NONE!
Just contact ID Software and licence the Q2 engine. I think Valve paid around 250.000 Bucks including source and support.
With Halflive they earned tons of cash (I think)
