I would like to be able to view openGL programs running on Sun (Unix) workstations on my pc using Xwin32. Currently, I get an error because I
do not have a glx.dll. Is there one available for windows 98/2000. If so,
where can I get it.
And, is there anything else I need to know?
Thanks.
Nan
Howdy,
I don’t believe that there’s a GLX library for windows. But I have a feeling that I might be wrong about that. I’m trying to remember if someone was telling me about a X11 emulator for windows that’d let you compile X stuff. But, I might be just wrong.
Having said that, tho’, you could always try running an X server on windows. I use Exceed, but have looked at (ie. seen someone else run) Excurion. I like Exceed 'cause it has a cool hummingbird logo. well, maybe because it seems to also be more configurable and probably other reasons.
If you run an X server under windows then you can run your program on the solaris box and pump the output to a windows box. That ISN"T the same thing as compiling and running the executable on the windows machine, tho’
cheers
