Simulating Ship Wakes with the Triton Ocean SDK

Realistic ship wakes are important for maritime training, and for games that take place at sea. The Triton Ocean SDK 2.3 introduces a novel approach for rendering 3D ship wake effects in OpenGL, including Kelvin wakes, propeller wash / turbulent wakes, bow waves, foam, and spray effects. All done in a single pass, these effects work over 3D waves and can handle ships moving on arbitrary paths. Videos, demos, and evaluation SDK’s are freely available.
