Khronos Releases OpenCL 2.2 With SPIR-V 1.2

The Khronos™ Group, an open consortium of leading hardware and software companies, announces the immediate availability of the finalized OpenCL™ 2.2 specification, incorporating industry feedback received from developers during the provisional specification review period. In addition to releasing the specification in final form, Khronos has, for the first time, released the full source of the specifications and conformance tests for OpenCL 2.2 onto GitHub to enable deeper community engagement. The conformance tests for OpenCL versions 1.2, 2.0 and 2.1 have also been released on GitHub with more open-source releases to follow.

FurMark 1.19.0 Released

FurMark 1.19.0 adds the support of recent NVIDIA GPUs (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, TITAN Xp) as well as AMD Radeon RX 500 series (RX 580 and RX 570). The GPU monitoring library has been updated with the latest iteration of the NVAPI and GPU Shark + GPU-Z have been updated to their latest versions.

Khronos Releases OpenVX 1.2 Specification

The Khronos Group announces the immediate release of the OpenVX 1.2 specification for cross-platform acceleration of computer vision applications and libraries. This open, cross-platform, royalty-free standard enables performance-portable, power-optimized computer vision applications such as face, body, and gesture tracking, smart video surveillance, autonomous driver assistance systems, visual inspection, and robotics. NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference lists additional Khronos Technology sessions

The GPU Technology Conference (GTC2017) will be running from May 8-11 this year in San Jose Convention Center. This year will see many sessions related to Khronos Technology including OpenCL, OpenGL, OpenVX, Vulkan and WebGL. NVIDIA has just added more sessions to their schedule.
