OpenGL API-based shader framework for scientific volume visualization using GPU raycasting

This project implements a flexible OpenGL API and GLUT-based framework for volume raycasting which allows for the easy integration of highly diverse shaders. It implements a general driver application and a set of fragment programs which can be loaded at run-time. All shaders use NVIDIA’s NV_fragment_program2 OpenGL extension to implement a single pass volume rendering solution. The resulting system exhibits good performance and high quality visualizations. Includes source and executables.
