OpenGL Space Combat and Strategy Game Programming

Learn by doing with a series of game prototypes to demonstrate the fundamentals of OpenGL-based space combat and realtime strategy game programming. Just released, prototype 5 is focusing on 3D model integration and warp flight visualisation: -simple 3D model (spaceship) rendering with deferred lighting -Visualisation of the activated warp engines -Blurred stars depending on the actual flight direction -Red- and blueshift of the irradiated light (from visible stars and nebulas) depending on the camera view direction -Warp stripes around the spaceship.
