Latest OpenGL Windows Drivers for GeForce 6150SE to use with mrViewer?

Hi,

Was able to find a eMachines EL1352-03 PC. Specs at https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883114085 which has GeForce 6150SE graphics.

Did a quick search to check if even worth trying to drop in better graphics and seems not. “Which is the best graphics card to get for the pci express slot x16 version 1.0 guys? Please help me” Which is the best graphics card to get for the pci express slot x16 version 1.0 guys? Please help me | Tom's Hardware Forum

Then checked NVIDIA OpenGL Driver Support https://developer.nvidia.com/opengl-driver but did not find info for the GeForce 6150SE.

Searched and found “Specs for the GeForce 6150SE by C.A. Rubino” Specs for the GeForce 6150SE | It Still Works “The 6150 SE provides full support for OpenGL 1.5 applications”

Please tell me what the latest OpenGL version 6150 SE can support? and where I can download these drivers.

Thanks

Ken

GeForce 6150SE

This belongs to the GeForce 6 series and so will never support any OpenGL version higher than 2.0 or 2.1. It’s also an entry-level part and so will have incredibly poor performance with even the most basic rendering tasks.

mhagain,

Thanks for the info! Looks like I am in the market for a new PC with new graphics card.

Do you have any idea what hardware is necessary for mrViewer?

Did a quick search concerning budget video cards and found “Best budget graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti” https://www.pcgamer.com/best-graphics-card-deals-today/ and review “GEFORCE GTX 1050 TI REVIEW”

Since this hardware is getting old am wondering if better to wait for the latest generation?

Also is there an easy way to translate gaming to video editing performance?
