Jhon_connor thx for the tip about the memoyallocation, someone pointed out I missed this, but apparently I should've done more research.
didydriver, I've tried it, does not work. I am using the 450 core shader, so openGL 4.5 I will not have problems loading in different texture formates. This problem was fixed with by introducing core 2.0 or core 3.3.
