terrain generation using C++ and Opengl

Hi i want generate terrain using a 32bit Heightmap Actually i want to make a terrain engine which generates runtime terrain using heightmaps i am beginner at opengl and i am learning it quite quickly,i was hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction to make terrain engine and someone can give me links for tutorials or names of books regrading terrain generation so that i can understand the whole concept of terrain generation and make a terrain engine any help will appreciated :):):):slight_smile:
