    Different functions from a triangle

    I have a triangle with base '2b' and height 'h' as shown in the attached figure (a). I would like to construct two different functions as shown in (b) and (c) keeping the height and base the same. Any hint will be of great help to me.Click image for larger version.

    The best I can think of is to use vertices of your triangle to be the control points of a degree two beziur curve for each of the intended sides.
