PC sellers do not know the OpenGL version on the computers they sell

Below are sections from two chat sessions at large PC sellers web sites. I asked if they have a computer with the specs listing OpenGL 4 or higher. Both companies said no. They basically do not have access to a OpenGL version number in the specs. So how do I buy a computer that has OpenGL 4 or higher?

xxxx: Thank you for waiting.
xxxx: However, I do apologize for we do not have a model that has the OpenGL supported or available.
You: OK

What you’re better off doing is asking for the make and model of the GPU installed in the PC, then cross-reference that with the OpenGL version that supports, using information from the GPU vendor’s website (e.g their driver download page). Ultimately it’s the GPU vendor’s driver that determines the GL version supported.
