Re: Volunteer on an OpenGL Project

Hello,

Am reading Jason L. McKesson’s opengl Book almost through for the first time. I want to volunteer on a live project to get a chance and see how coders a building code as well while I continue reading.

Any Advice.

You can try an Open-Source program such as blender for instance. Also, some game engines such as the Doom 3 engine have been open sourced and have been written in OpenGL. It is using an older version of the API though.

It’s honorable that you want to volunteer and contribute. However, if you just started with OpenGL you might not be fit for working on real-world projects yet. Work through the tutorial, work yourself through some recent graphics programming topics and most importantly, implement as much stuff as you can.

Thank you Psy-Fi will spend sometime with Blender as well
