Ask for examples of the orange book "OpenGL Shading Language"

Hi, dear all!

After I read the orange book and searched the web, I found no place to download its samples’ source code. But if such book exists, there must be some way get its support, let alone the most basic, it’s source code.

Anyone could help? Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

That’s odd. They used to be up here: http://3dshaders.com, which is noted in the preface to the 3rd edition (published July 2009). But they apparently let the domain name lapse, and now its unrelated to the OpenGL Shading Language book.

I have a version of the examples packratted off from Aug 2009. It has the 2nd edition examples and some other stuff. Here are the files, for your websearching pleasure:

I’ve also included the MD5Sums in case you find them on the net by filename.

If you want a copy, can probably figure out some way to get them to you. If there’s general interest, could talk to the webmaster about hosting a copy on www.opengl.org.

Ah! Here you go. Found a copy of them with a web search. Grab 'em quick :D. Also, though the sizes match, I wouldn’t run any executables from this since until you at least verify the MD5Sums (since we can’t vouch for the source):

Thanks a lot, Dark Photon.
You really give me a great help!

Hey, Dark Photon!
Can you please also tell me how to view the effects of these shaders?
