3D Puzzle

Hi, I study computer engineering. My professor gave me a homework project ,it is a puzzle game .http://www.3dpuzzles.nl/puzzles/eschersburr/engdescription.htm

Can anybody help me please?

Yes of course. And what is your question actually ?
“just do my homework” does not count, by the way…

There are only (I hope my math is correct) 88 possible combinations of positions and orientations of each piece. As a student of computer engineering it shouldn’t be to difficult for you to write a recrusive algorithm to check them for valid solutions. (Of course this is just the end postions of the pieces and not the way of how to put them together or apart. But that should solve another recrusive algorithm.)

I don’t see what this has to do with OpenGL…

Well, it’s a 3D puzzle!

“This puzzle is not designed by the famous graphic artist M.C. Escher, but the puzzle looks a bit like his famous pictures of stairs.”

AMAZING! Actually the stairs in my home look a bit like Eschers pictures, too! From now on everyone shall call them “Eschers Stairway”! Does any of this make sense to you?

Jan.

Does any of this make sense to you?

Yeah! You have a very weird house! :stuck_out_tongue:
