Problems with 3d prophet 2 mx + SuSE 7.0-7.1

hi!
i can´t use 3d support with my 3d prophet 2 mx video card from hercules.
i tried to setup it with sax2 but it hangs up everytime.

-Abit Bh6 Motherboard(Intel Chipset)
-192 mb Ram
-suse 7.1
-kernel 2.4 -final-
-KDE 2.01
-xfree86 4.02
can anyone help me?

when does it hangs? before the setup, or after
Is glx modules loaded at startup? Have you tired ‘nvidia’ modules instead of ‘nv’? if yes, that have you got ‘NVdriver’ kernel module driver inserted? See if you have ‘NVdriver’ at ‘lsmod’ output.
If you find out you dont have NVdriver, you can dowload one from SuSE ftp; or compile the latest 0.9.6; get it from from Nvidia ftp.

under my Suse 7.0/p2-450mhz/256mb/TNT-16mb the 0.9.6 driver works great (Quake3 almost as good as in Win98SE)
