You’ve seen those cool WinAmp visual plug-ins…what are my options if I had a live audio source (a band) and I wanted to display cool graphics in real-time? Thanks
It depends on what you want to do with the sound. Display a VU-meter, an osciloscope, a sectrum meter, beat detection?
Whatever you want to do, you will probably need to do some sort of spectral analysis, and then I would recoment getting FFTW .
