    using a texture saved with paint

    why is it that everytime i load a jpg texture that i saved with ms paint it comes up with some blank lines on it, is it because of the alpha channel??

    Yes maybe... are you using any special lib to load your jpeg texture ? Maybe the color depth too
    is it a correct power of two texture ?

    mmm now that you put it that way... i believe paint works with 24 bits i supose thats it, so if i take it to 16 or 32 bits will it work??
