    modeling software

    Hi,

I am new to OpenGL and really want to start creating complex models. I've searched this site for free software, and it seems like there are a few of those.

So has anybody tried the software before? I really wanted to use a simple and easy to learn 3D modeling software for learning purposes. I tried Maya Learning Edition before and it frustrated me because the demo software was behaving differently from what was said in the tutorial. Opinions? Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Do a search on google, www.sourceforge.net and www.freshmeat.net

Blender is one of the best free modelers, but it has a user interface that is weird (even though it is improving).

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll take a look at the links.
