openGL to avi

i have developed a texture mapping scene as a opening screen for my friend. i want to convert that opengl animation in avi or mpg format. is it possible, if yes which software i should use.

Youll have to read the frame buffer back and save the image into an image file. Save each frame with a slightly different filename, eg, anim001.ext, anim002.ext …

Once you have all the frames, use premier or something similar to turn the frames into an avi. You’ll have to fix the framerate to something sensible such as 25fps…

The alternative method is to output graphics through a tv out card, and send that to a tv in card and blag it that way. I doubt it would be very good though.

(A lot of my replies lately have just been links to these very boards… don’t people believe in “Search” anymore?)

No; people don’t believe in Father Christmas, the Easter Bunny, “faq” or “off-topic”, either.

The Easter Bunny isn’t real?
