Really fast reflections and glass

I need some really fast reflections to my program it`s possible without stencil buffer.
The second problem is with materials like glass. How to do it cool looking and fast ?
Do you has some idea ?

On this site under coding, is a example of fast reflections and shadows without use of stencil buffer.

How it works is you draw your scene twice.

Once from the angle in which you would view it from the mirrors perspective.
with your surface to be reflective, made simi-transparent and in front of the objects drawn.

Second time you draw your over the simi-transparent surface in the correct view you had wanted.
