I am experiencing a problem with the MOHAA video game.
I am running a 500 mhz machine with an Intel 810 chipset.
I have downloaded the most current Intel 810 chipset drivers from the intel homepage.
The driver supposedly works with DirectX8.0…
I have also gone to the OpenGL setup website and have download the most current
drivers for that as well.
I can start the game fine. I can even play a few sequences…training works fine…everything works fine except when I finish blowing up the last plane on the “Clearing the airfield” level in the game…I THEN GET THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE AFTER MOHAA CRASHES:
Server Shutdown
Not a JPEG file starts with: 0x00 0x00
Can you provide me with any recommendations on how to fix this?
Don’t worry about replying to my message I figured the problem out on my own…
Just in case anyone is experiencing the same problem, the following is what I did to get the darn game to work…
-
Installed the most current drivers for my onboard Intel 810 chipset.
-
Changed my resolution to 800 x 600 for better performance.
-
Installed the most current JPEG Library from Intel.
This was the reason I was having problems with JPEG’s…so I think.
I think that when a mission is completed and the large Black and White JPEG
images are shown in a slide show format that if your PC’s JPEG library is
not up to par MOHAA will crash!!!
-
Completely uninstalled MOHAA and then re-installed MOHAA.
After doing all of these things MOHAA runs flawlessly.
