We just got a new game for Christmas–Microsoft Age of Mythology. When I try to start the game, after the introduction videos I get an “initialization failure” error message. According to the Microsoft support website, I’m supposed to make sure my video card is compatible. I do the “dxdiag” test and two things I’m supposed to check aren’t there: Under Memory, it says “Not Available”; and my 3D graphics are apparently disabled. I’ve reloaded the game twice; downloaded the latest version of DirectX; downloaded the latest video driver from Nvidia (Nvidia GeForce 256); and run all the tests I can think of. I still can’t load the game because I don’t have the 3D. I’m using MS98 on a Dell Pentium. Any suggestions? Thanks.
