    Unfortunately, the DRI stack really isn't that great. Hopefully Gallium will improve that, but even new driver development (RadeonHD and nouveau) is still taking place on the old DRI.

    I thougth NVIDIA used a unified architecture, sharing state-management amongst all the drivers. If that's the case, then once the features are in the Win32 driver, the linux driver should be a matter...

    *sigh* only Windows drivers, of course. I guess that's all they can do until a GLX extension is released. Not that I expect there would be Linux in beta even if the extension was around. I get to...

    As I said over here (shameless plug), we can't expect the ARB to create a full-fledged vendor-neutral OpenGL SDK. It's way beyond what they do, and way beyond what the vendor's are capable of...

    OpenGL is beyond squeaking. It's making horrible grinding noises, and there are metal shavings flying everywhere.

    Wasn't there something about hopefully getting more news after the Khronos face-to-face meeting? Has that meeting happened yet, or are we still waiting? I don't see anything about it on the Khronos...

    This is starting to look really bad for the ARB... they're about four months behind their projected schedule for LP, and that's off the latest announced delays. The silence doesn't help, either......
