Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

Also eyeing Larrabee. However...

Larrabee and OpenGL are not mutually exclusive. Intel is allegedly developing both OpenGL and DirectX drivers for Larrabee. That'll get it out there and...

Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

Don't worry about it. That's only one person's take. Cluelessness is the theme of this thread. :p Welcome!
...just don't try that way off-topic stuff in any of the other boards. Great way to get...

Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

Definitely coming to the BOF.

Others have already put forward great questions. Here's one more:

#12 Which GPU vendors are "still" 100% committed to developing OpenGL drivers for Linux (now and...

Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

I guess it depends what your goal is. If % improvement is it, % makes sense. Otherwise I'd much rather see "I implemented this specific change to this specific algorithm and saved 5.5ms of draw...

Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

While we're bouncing all around GL land, I'd like to ask why even some of the experts here still talk in fps.

Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

Yep. If nothing else, this serves to convince whoever/whatever's causing this that many OpenGL folk aren't easily bucked, and affirm to Khronos and the ARB that plenty of folks are "still" waiting...

Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

You're the one making the bold, outlandish claim. The burden of proof is on you. [/QUOTE]
Heh. I'm not claimin' anything. Not rulin' anything out either. Just passin' the time speculating along...

Maybe, maybe not, but prove it!

You're speculating as much as he is, and he's got as much right to it as you do.

(...unless you have some verifiable inside info you'd care to share.)

Re: OpenGL 3 Updates

Wasn't there, but I find it very odd that Khronos covered virtually every software component managed by Khronos in the slides except OpenGL:
