Odd OpenGL errors on Linux

Hi, I’m currently trying to OpenGL 2.0 on Debian 6.0 and when I run the most basic “Hello World” app, I get the following inside of the Terminal:

X Error of failed request:  BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)
  Major opcode of failed request:  154 (GLX)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  34 ()
  Serial number of failed request:  34
  Current serial number in output stream:  33

My graphics card is also an Standard Intel® HD Graphics 3000 card. Can someone help me get OpenGL up and running? Thank you.
