Can't get OpenGL to work

Hi,

Sorry about this. I am a beginner here, but I think that at some point in the past a vital link to using OpenGL has been severed, and I’m hoping that someone can help me out. I have a Toshiba Satellite P10 laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5100 AGP card which I know supports OpenGL (Probably 1.4). I have reinstalled all the drivers, and updates. I am operating with Windows XP SP3. However:

I have MATLAB 7 which, on startup, informs me that it can’t Query OpenGL.
Also, games which require this (i.e. Quake 4), shut down stating that OpenGL is unavailable.
The opengl32.dll file is present in the Windows\system32 folder

However I tried to register the .dll file, but it refuses (server entry point was not found).

I’m really sorry for bothering you all, as I normally try to sort this kind of problem myself, but I have acres of software installed from all over the place on my HDD, and really, really don’t want to have to reinstall Windows.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks
