The update has actually some OpenGL related fixes. Too bad they are not giving more details.

One fix that I’m aware of is that there’s isn’t corruption in shaders that used more than 32 MAX_VARYING_FLOATS on ATI cards anymore, however, using non-square matrix uniforms still reverts it to software rendering (at least on my 8600M).

You can see all of the new extensions across all of the renderers, in the OpenGL Capabilities Table.

Phoronix reported that OpenGL performance has regressed on Mac OS X 10.6.3. Can anyone confirm that?

Line up 20 OpenGL apps and test them before and after an update, and you’ll usually get a mixed bag.

The stuff I am working on loves 10.6.3.
