Can anyone tell me why Ubuntu would not recognize my OpenGL enabled video card? Any work arounds would be appreciated.

Hi,

My experience: Fiesty doesn’t recognize my GFX card because I’m using beta BIOS. I’ve tested various BIOS version to make it works.

For more trouble shooting please refer to Ubuntu forums. Look for force install (installing on kernel) depending on your GFX card.

Everything is fine with Hardy (I’m using Asus P4V800-X and ATI9600xt. Still crash when activating GLSL + some render buffer function - caused by ATI)
