GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsyste

hello!

I’ve been trying to get quake3arena to work on my laptop but i just get this error message even though i’ve installed the newest drivers from nvidia.
I Have a geforce 8400m gs card and windows vista 32-bit, Is there no way to get this to work??

Which nvidia driver version is actually installed ?
You can see it within the Nvidia Control Panel, at “Forceware version”.
And here is an explaination to check the provided OpenGL version with a free tool :

Especially check the “renderer” menu.

And i also did a renderingtest and they all passed, U have any other tips of what might be wrong??

Maybe a wrong file “opengl32.dll” inside your Quake3 exe folder (should be removed, to use the one provided by your system) ?
