If I decide to use OpenGl+GLUT for something (still not sure is GLUT enugh for a large engine), I still need a sound library, which one would be compatible?
And what do you suggest? For this moment I have used allegroGl, but I would like to use something else now.

Perhaps read the GLFW (http://hem.passagen.se/opengl/glfw) documentation? A chapter named "Game Programming" lists a few sound libraries. To name a few: FMOD, libMikMod, BASS, MIDAS, SEAL, OpenAL.
