I am taking a computer graphic course and we have to use openGL. I have no idea whatsoever how to install and how to work with it. 
It sounds dumb but I am totally confused. Could anyone help me please?

First you’ll need the OpenGL header and libraries:
Look in http://www.opengl.org/resources/faq/getting_started.html
After just open the OpenGL red book and start reading.
