So I have a planetary system and but no lighting, I want the light to eminate from the sun how would I set this up? (set up an ambiant light source that eminates from the same place as the sun sphere)?? any hints are welcome. Im kinda a newbie

As the sun is a very bright object, ambient light is a good approximation. Though this approximation will not have a difference between the day-side and night-side of planets.
Though if you want to see the dark side of the moon, you should set up a point light source where the sun is located. (Be sure to enable lighting).
