hey,
does any one know, of what settings are to be applied when using gl on windows with "dual view" that is when the OS knows that there are two screens attached to the pc.

for those who aren't fermiliar with the problem, gl goes #$%3* on dual view, but if you switch the graphics driver to span the desktop on the two screens, it's all ok. ofcourse spanning is a whole new story when using win, and you must go though alot of driver settings for it to behave as though you are using dualview.

Gee this is very different for differnt hardware. And the problems issues you are seeing are directly related to the card / driver and display control panel settings. It's nothing to do with GL.

For example for NVidia there are a bunch of different modes for dual monitors. If you use clone view or horizontal / vertical stretch the dual monitors behave as one (but it's slower than one monitor). If you set Dual View with an (extended acceleration mode) of Single Monitor you get Ogl acceleration on the primary monitor only and it's just as fast as single monitor config. If you use performance or compatibility acceleration modes for DualView you may run into problems if you are using pbuffers....

when using nvidia what should i do while working under the "dual-view" setting. i guess it is the same as if working with a "different hardware device" on each screen no?
