Hello.
Where can I download man pages for OpenGL 2.0 and 2.1? It looks like my system (Slackware 11) have man pages for an older version of OpenGL. (It has no documentation fo glBindBuffer commands, and has glMultiTexcoordARB instead of glMultiTexCoord)
It is part of the SDK in progress. http://www.opengl.org/sdk/ [/b]
Thanks, I’ve seen this link before, but I’m really looking for something downloadable and suitable for offline use (and with fast function index if possible). Gzipped/bzipped man/html/info would be nice.
P.S. Of course I could wget the whole SDK, but I must be sure that there is no other way to get recent documentation. The SDK doesn’t seem to be lightweight, and I have a limited connection, so grabbing the whole site with wget is last resort action…
Originally posted by ZbuffeR: just wget from http://www.opengl.org/sdk/docs/man/xhtml/index.html with options such as --no-parent etc to crawl only the man pages. They are very lightweight.
Well, I’ve downloaded sdk using wget (5.7mb). Thanks for the help, problem solved.
Does anybody know what’s the license of these html formatted pages? I would like to package them and distribute with Mandriva Linux, as requested by users.
It would be even better to have unix manpage versions, but html for offline view would suffice.
I think there’s an html2man converter available, the exact package it’s in would vary with your distro, though. I’ll check it out in an hour or so - I’ve got some Windows things to take care of first.
EDIT: I did find a couple of tools, but none of them do a very good job, since it uses XML rather than HTML, and there are some odd tags. The MathML stuff really throws the tools for a loop… I’m just not sure MAN pages are worth the effort needed to get them.
