Is there a OpenGL version of Quake2 for Linux? Or has someone build one based on the sourcecode?
Yes, Quake2 has been available on Linux for a long time. I think that the closed source version has some full screen “feature” so a hacked open source version is probably better. Many people are hacking the Q2 sources, here is one project: http://icculus.org/~relnev/main.php
