Mon projet / my project

  • openinventor
  • openscenegraph
  • 3dwm

A bientôt,

Fratt

eng:

hi all,
it’s been a while i hadn’t post here for many reasons.
But this does not say that i did nothing about prog or OpengL… My project has now more than 2 years and half and provides new things as an internal multi-threaded core,
a generic game engine, window management… It has been greatly reviewed, but some parts are not up to date due to my lonely way.
You can find info at http://maja.tuxfamily.org
There are no downloads links available, just write be back and i’ll give you the correct adress.

I’m looking for C++ prgrammers that know Opengl, pthreads… All knowledge about games is welcome !
I think it could be a great thing for those who want to work in the game industry or in 3D.

In order the project to be released at 1.0, I need a solid team that believes in the project as I do or more.

As you will see, the design is original and is not findable anywhere (it may not exists yet).

Some projects that are some closed like this one:

  • openinventor
  • openscenegraph
  • 3dwm

See you soon,

Fratt

I know this is not a ‘professional’ project… But this is even a full part project !!

Now, I’d like to know what ‘non professional’ programmers could do of their own. I wonder now if someone agrees with me.
But if you’re professional, you can enter the project.

I’ve done efforts to not go threw many ways (even if I’ve done some about: this was my evolution), and now I’m concentrated on what could be a core management for 3D real-time graphics involving interactivity, sounds, network…

This is done in multithread env due to experiments (i did not regret that).

I know this is OpenGL forum, but as far as I use OpenGL for my graphics, this post gets its place here.

“Many projects started from scratch, but none of them should be forgotten”.

What could i say about me ?

I program since 4 years under Linux and C++. I know some about gl since 2 years (and half), and I do some about threading.

I’ve got some maths knowledge: basics geometry, complex calculations, matrix…

about my C++: i’ve learnt it alone (as almost all my computer ‘science’) with reading books as The C++ language of Stroustrup, and others: design, advanced C++, patterns…

Now, i’m involved in it since september 2000. It’s now completly different and is reaching its final concept (so answer me fast if you want to discuss the concept !): a modular, generic, multithreaded core that could hangs all what’s needed to do it.

“This is the ways it’s got to be”.

Cordially,

jide

PS: reply me even if you’re not interrested, just to talk about it. In some ways, I need it, i want it -
