It says something like ‘GLX not found on display 0:0’
That was with my GPUCheck program from Pete Berret originally designed for emulation use.
I haven’t tryed running Mesa Gears or something else in the console yet, as I accidentally deleted my Linux partitions when I reinstalled Win2k. (OOPS)

Either you have not installed nvidia_glx or
have not added line -> load “glx” to XF86Config-4 file.
Ok ,I have installed the nVidia driver.
I run the KDE and then run glxinfo
I recive that message too.But
I looked to /var/log/XFree.08**
and there are written “(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load glX”.Where can I download
the libglx.a(I can’t it find in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules)?
thanks

Have you installed both nvidia_kernel and nvidia_glx ??
and edited XF86Config-4 file like explained in releasenotes ?
also do you have xfree 4.* , nvidia drivers do not work in xfree 3.*
