Screenshot, xterm

I am working on linux.
I am using Open GL for some animated output, but I am unable to capture the output window. Is there any command/way so as to convert the output screen into a printable form (.jpg/.ps)?

The easiest way is to fire up xv . Then use the grab capability to capture your window and save it in whatever format you like.

There is also the xwd and xwud programs, which save a window in some wierd dump format. However, I am not sure how to convert this file to something printable unless xpr does the trick.

For screenshots you can use the Gimp.
It supports lots of format since it’s an image manipulation program and it is part of nearly every linux distro…
