ATI on FC6?

Hi

I cannot install the latest ATI drivers, neither the previous ones, on FC6. I have not updated the kernel yet.

Video card is Mobility Radeon X1600.
Acer laptop.

It does not recognize what X Window system is running, install fglcontrolpanel, or link and load the kernel module.

Any ideas how to fix that?
