LEARN OPEN GL AND DIRECT X AT LOS ANGELES GAME DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL.
Hollywood, CA- The Academy of G.E.T. (Game Entertainment Technology) will be offering courses in OPEN GL and DIRECT X, with classes commencing the first week of November, 2002. The classes, which are core courses in the game programmer sequence, are open to the general public and taught by professional game developers. The OPEN GL class assumes that students already have a familiarity with 3D graphics concepts and focuses on the specific sematics of OPEN GL 2.0 and popular vendor specific extensions to the API. In the Direct X course, students will be introduced to the render pipeline, primitives, transformation, rasterization, and cameras. Students will build their own graphics engines, step by step. For registration information, please contact Thomas Kissinger, Director of Administration at: info@academyofget.com or (323) 466-4300

Or to save even more money just download the RedBook (2nd edition of course) off the net for free. http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/ubb/smile.gif Visit sites like this one, gamedev, flipcode, etc and you're set. For direct x, all you need is the FULL SDK download that contains everything needed to learn direct x; samples, docs, the whole sha-bang. http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/ubb/biggrin.gif
