Most of you probably doesn’t remember of my question about video source to GL functionality some time ago.
It has been few days since I read about SGIX_video_source and I am pretty sure this is something pretty similar to what I was asking about (only difference seems to be it uses a buffer instead of a texture).
So, I’m wondering if someone ever used this extension, I would be really interested on hearing news about that.
Are you working with Silicon Graphics hardware? If not I’m pretty sure you are out of luck. This extension is using the SGI Video Library which supplies the video streams. Extremely hardware specific.
I’ve used it on Onyx and O2 Workstations a looong time ago…
