Why the hell are the GF4 Ti nearly slower than the GF3 Ti when doing anisotropic filtering?

People have known and about this problem for quite a while. I'm sure they'll fix it if they can (i.e. it's not a hardware issue).

This is partially fixed in 28.90 Detonators.
