View Full Version : remote OpenGL crashes on Solaris

Has anyone seen this problem before? I telnet from one Solaris machine to another, and try to run the /usr/openwin/demo/GL/ogl_install_check utility. This causes either the XServer or XClient to crash. The X11 display does work because I can get x-applications like xclock or xeye to work. Also, the X11, OpenGL, and graphics libraries have been updated to the current patch levels. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Telnet!?! That's savage.
Try ssh. Maybe your display or an environment variable is not set correctly. You don't have to worry about this kinda stuff when you ssh. It'll just tunnel everything along.

I guess telnet is a little long in the tooth. I did try out ssh, but with the same results. But, thanks for your help.
