Is Kernighan / Ritchie book good for start with C ???

Is Kernighan / Ritchie book good for start with C ? Or is is too oldish… I have it in my bookshelf so I was just asking !

why dont u go for C++ i think that would be very useful for further and Advance programming. as far as Ritchie 's book is concerned it is good but too old.
u would look for Hanly and Koffman 's book for ANSI C. that is very nice book if u are a new to C.
