Texture Mapping in side the sphere.

i am student of quaid-i-azam university
in pakistan. i am doing a project on game programming. i want to map a texture in side the sphere. if one of u have any information or solution so do write to me. i m looking for reply desperately.

now my question is is opengl1.1 supports
this thing i am not sure is this going to work in opengl1.1.

and if u find it easy can u send me an example that can help me alot.
