Cause i have a modem connection. Ive spent my money for downloading a game which sucks.
Yes, this piece of sth should occupy less than 64kB - but 2 megs?
Why i would download again your game if i know you are a bad opengl programmer?

why do you offend other programmers because you have a slow connection to the internet? Thats your problem, not his!

I think you’ve misunderstood Michael. His main problem is with the game, but he chose to focus on the substantial time and money cost he incurred by downloading it.
Mmm, your “arab fifa” screenshot is too ashamed to show itself - probably just as well, if the “mission in desert” shot is anything to go by.
Thank you for all the oil, but leave the C/C++ computer programming to us!
P.S. I quite like your java 3d applet on the home page.
ok, i tried it. it ran and said couldn’t find ground.bmp despite it being right there. hmmm. win98, special folder for your game on my desktop. also, it permanantly changed my desktop resolution. grrr. repost when you have a version that you think will work so i can see it! I’m interested since I work on the team that develops the real Fifa soccer.
cheers,
deans
ps. i’m not a graphics programmer by trade (yet) and i have a dumb question posted in the beginner thread ; “depth buffer problem”. If you solve it for me, i promise to play your game for no less than 1 hour!
Anyone that spends time programming deserves respect.
Here is a constructive remark:
Your game ran much much too fast on my computer. Are you using an “older” computer with no graphic acceleration to program it?
It seems that you are not using the time to set the speed of the game, and the game runs just as fast as it can… which is OK on some computer, and unusable on other.

2 things :
First, I dont understand why you post this message in the forum ‘OpenGL coding: advanced’.

Your game still has a long way to go before it is ready for public review. I also think you will be better off not posting this to the “advanced OpenGL programming” forum, but to try to advertise it someplace a little more games-oriented.
You still have a lot of issues to solve, but I wish you the best of luck. Even if this never makes it into a final playable game, you will learn a lot from doing it. Have fun!
OK. I will be more clear.
I havent seen your latest version, but ive seen the earlier version.
The EXE file was duplicated in data directory - its a big waste of space.
The texture map of people in the background was unnecesary large. You have just replicated data. Isnt better to shrink the texmap and use REPEAT filter?
Models IMO were ugly cause they had too many tris. Try reducing poly conunt - models will occupy less bytes and you will be able to create smooth animations.
