if i have a sphere model and it is half-transparent, normally, its very ugly.

i know that there is some kind of depth test staff ?

I suppose if you render the triangles of your semi transparent sphere in random order, without culling backfaces and with zbuffer, it will be absolutely lame.

If you enable backface culling, or disable zbuffer, things getting better.

So, what is you situation or problem, exactly ?
